São Paulo / YB MUSIC
Nominated as best group in the popular song category, in the 28th Brazilian Music Award, in 2017, Samuca and Selva is a collective group resulted from the union between the singer and composer Samuel Samuca to a successful group project of musicians on the contemporary scene of São Paulo. Together since 2014, the group has released the first album "Madurar" (2016), which blends respectfully genres of Brazilian popular and regional music with a clear influence of Latin music, jazz and afrobeat. His lyrics speak about the complexity of existence and reveal a portrait of Brazil through music. The work of Samuca and Selva is libertarian and provocative, dancing and critical at the same time, extremely Brazilian, without ever ceasing to be Latin; without frontiers, as the world ought to be.
